Frontier Charters is based out of Arroyo City Texas and South Padre Island. Our services cater to anglers of all ages and levels of skill.
 

Our Goal:

At Frontier Charters our goal is to insure your safety and fun while fishing from one of our kayaks or from our 2008 190 MLG Dargel. (Myrtle)

Our Specialty:

We specialize in site fishing the flats for Red Fish, Speckled Trout, Snook and a variety of other species found in the Lower Laguna Madre.

The Ultimate Experience:

Fishing from a kayak is probably one of the most exciting fishing trips one could take.
 

The stealth and ease of a kayak allow you to literally sneak up on a school of feeding Red Fish and watch them explode in a frenzy chasing your lure.

 

What To Expect:

Whether fishing from kayaks or Myrtle, we will leave the dock as early as possible, preferably at sunrise. After arriving to our destination, we will be fishing in water 10 to 16 inches in depth (The Flats). Top water lures are best in the early morning hours. Later in the morning when the sun rises adequately, we will begin site fishing. At times, we do bait fish, if the weather conditions dictate.

Texas fishing license with salt water stamp (mandatory)

Bring your favorite food and beverages. (Alcohol is allowed)

Sunglasses (polarized)

Sunscreen

Appropriate clothing for the given weather conditions

Your favorite rod and tackle (8 to 10 lb test is preferable)

We recommend you stay for a two day trip and experience all the Lower Laguna Madre and South Padre Island has to offer.

Accommodations:

Comfortable accommodations are available from Port Mansfield to Arroyo City and South Padre Island. If you need assistance or recommendations we can assist you with all your needs.

·         Kayak trips-Captain Mark H. Atkinson will take you and the kayaks out to secluded areas of the bay where only kayaks can navigate. These areas are well known to hold some of the biggest Speckled Trout and Red Fish ever caught. Captain Mark will always be within signaling distance and can pick you up whenever you like. There is no limit on the amount of times you care to launch out on your Kayak from the boat. Please give a call if you have any questions about our Kayak trips.
